Action Caitlin
To support Carole and Steve we can support the Jump-organization.
Caitlin was born with a very serious heart condition called "Hypoplastic left heart syndrome" (HPLS). This means that she effectively only has half a heart, as the left side is severely under-formed.
She was born after almost exactly 12 hours of labour and was immediately laid on her mother’s chest and was wailing loudly. She was having some problems - all of which are in line with the previous diagnosis and their expectations. These problems manifested themselves in steadily depleting blood oxygenation levels meaning that, within 10 minutes, she was taken to ICU to be stabilized; fortunately, after an hour or so of intervention, she was pronounced stable and the doctors do not think that any further procedures are needed, for now.
However, in the afternoon her condition was getting worse and despite all efforts, she needed to go to surgery twice. Sadly Carole & Steve had to say goodbye to their beautiful daughter, and she passed away peacefully in her parents’ arms.
If possible, they would have supported a transplantation of her organs. Beside that they have supported additional post-mortem medical examination. If this could only help other children and parent’s in the future!
To support Carole and Steve we can support the Jump-organization.
With our money, “Jump” can help other children and their parents!
Your donation is very much appreciated!
